WHY DO WE SUCCEED?
With personalized assistance to each individual and their support team, we’ll develop a plan to build connections with others who have similar interests and values. Our success is measured by yours because you’re an individual, your pathway to community connection should be as unique as you are.
Active Engagement in the Community
Everyone needs community. Finding people with similar interests, giving back to others, and realizing your potential for growth are important to living life to the fullest at any age.
If a person in our services is 62 years or older or has tried employment services for nine months and desires a change, they are eligible for Community Inclusion services.
Retirement is a time to make friends and have fun! Community Inclusion services help people with disabilities to connect to others in the community that are doing the same things that they like to do!
AtWork! meets with the person served and their support team to develop a service plan to direct our Community Inclusion Specialists (CIS) in their preference of activities. A CIS will help them discover new places to go or to build relationships at familiar places.
Participants choose their activities according to what they like and the CIS will help to meet others at those activities to ensure they have fun and make connections with other people. Some people receiving Community Inclusion Services like to do activities that involve playing sports, some like to take art classes or volunteer. They decide!
