CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (Full Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION

AtWork! is seeking a mission-driven leader as its Chief Development Officer (CDO) to work closely with AtWork!’s CEO, board, and staff to foster a culture of philanthropy and advance the company’s mission, vision, and goals. The CDO plans, coordinates, and assures the implementation of strategies to attract, inform, cultivate, and sustain donors, volunteers, and board members to achieve fundraising goals.

An effective CDO is comfortable motivating, communicating, and influencing at all levels and in a variety of environments. Initiating and leading a planned giving program strategy, multiple annual fundraising events, and ability to analyze and present development reports are critical to success.

COMPENSATION:

$75,000 – $80,000 Salary/year

POSITION TYPE:

Full time. 40 hours, non-exempt.

LOCATION:

Bellevue, WA

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Bachelor degree (BA/BS) in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Business, or other related field preferred, with 5 or more years management level fundraising experience. Additional experience in marketing, branding, media relations, capitol campaign management, grant writing, and major donor cultivation preferred.

Post high school education, training, and/or learning in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Business or other related field required, with 2 years management level fundraising experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Valid Driver’s License

Must have a reliable vehicle to travel in the King County area.

Good driving record.

Proof of liability insurance.
